Utah State Capitol Building Blossoms
The Utah State Capitol blossoms bloom sometime in Early to Mid-April. The exact date is always different, but its usually the first couple of days of April and only lasts a few weeks into mid April, and is very dependent on the weather. Due to a rainy day and busy schedules, we barely got the end of the blossoms! We had to reschedule to mid-april and we were able to catch just the end of them.
Its always crazy busy here so I do charge an extra fee that helps with the extra time it takes me to edit all the people out of the background.

Getting family pictures taken with the cherry blossoms at the Utah State Capitol Building in Salt Lake City is a wonderful idea! Here are some tips to ensure you have a memorable and successful photoshoot:
- Time of year: Cherry blossoms have a short blooming season, first 2 weeks of April. As your family photographer, I can schedule your family pictures during the peak blooming period for cherry blossoms in Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Plan Ahead: Schedule your family photoshoot well in advance to secure a time slot with me. Consider weekday mornings or evenings for fewer crowds and better lighting conditions.
- Spring Outfits: Choose outfits that complement each other and the surroundings. Soft pastel colors or neutrals often work well with the delicate pink hues of cherry blossoms. I send you my outfit guide, full of tons of outfit combs to look through. You should also plan for cold weather just in case!
- Be Flexible: Weather can be unpredictable, especially in the spring. Be prepared to reschedule your spring family photoshoot if the weather is rainy, or add jackets to your outfits to accommodate the cold spring weather!
