Utah county has so many great
Spring Locations for taking your
utah family pictures. Here are 7 of my favorite
spring family photography locations in Utah County.
Mapleton Field
This field in Mapleton is beautiful year round. I love it in the Spring though because the grass is newly green, and you can even find a few scattered blossom trees. This location is spring-ready any time in April or later.
Spanish Fork Lilac Bushes
Bless the soul who planted these lilac bushes in Spanish Fork. The other side of them is at a public park so everyone gets to enjoy their beauty. The only disadvantage is that its a small area and it can get busy there. This location is best for mini sessions only.
Springville Blossoms
This park in Springville with cherry blossoms reminds me of the Capitol Building in Salt Lake, but without the crowds. There's not nearly as many but I love this spot regardless, especially if you are located in Utah County and don't want to make the drive and deal with the swarms of people at the capitol.
Mapleton Flower Field
This spot is actually a field of weeds! Its in a neighborhood and honestly probably someones side yard, so for that reason this spot is best for mini sessions only. This would be a great spot for a quick senior session, spring portraits of your kids, or baptism pictures.
Mount Timpanogos Temple
Not your typical family session spot, however I feel like there are a lot of spots that don't get the temple. They have such beautiful flowers and trees planted around that are stunning in the spring. A similar location is the Provo City Center temple, also lots of spots without the temple but with tons of spring flowers. Both of these spots would be great for baptism pictures as well, since you could also use the temple for some shots too. Since this is a temple, grounds would be closed on sundays and mondays.
Provo Orchard
This spot is sooo good. It blooms end of April and its just rows and rows of beautiful blossoms, so even when its crowded, its possible to find a private area. This location typically has a shooting fee, due to the state hospital up the road. Its about $35.
Provo Pink Blossoms
I took these pictures in the middle of the day, and even at 2pm there was a line of people waiting to use them. This area is small and you can really only use them one at a time, so this would be a good mini session spot, or an add on to Rock Canyon, which is just up the road.
