Extended Family Photographer
Provo Canyon Wild Flowers

This location in Provo Canyon can be a little difficult to get to. You have to drive on a very bumpy, dirt road for about 15 minutes. It will make your car really dirty! Its worth it though if you are looking for tall grasses in big open meadows and stunning mountain views, and in the summer - wild flowers!

In early summer you can find so many pretty wild flowers here. These were taken in June and I was so happy we caught them!

Extended Family photography is so important. Freezing these moments in time when all the cousins are little, or big, to create memories that last forever, is just something that can't be replaced. I love to capture grandkids with their grandparents so they can remember this fun time having so many little babies and grown kids! Luckily, there are so many gorgeous spots in Utah County that are wide open for extended family photography in Provo.

I also love to take a few minutes at the end of our family photography session to get all the parents together and just grandparents together. Another important picture is all the original siblings! Its probably a picture you don't think to take too often!

Spend Less Time Behind Your Computer and More Time Doing What You Love

The complete workflow I've used for 15+ years to organize my photography business, deliver galleries faster, reduce burnout, and create more time for the things that matter most.

You didn't start a photography business because you love answering emails, searching for client information, keeping track of payments, or spending every evening editing galleries.

You started because you love creating beautiful images.

After more than 15 years of photographing families and weddings, I realized the biggest difference between feeling overwhelmed and feeling in control wasn't talent - it was having systems.

Every email template.
Every checklist.
Every workflow.
Every shortcut.

Each one saved just a few minutes.

Those minutes eventually became hours.

Inside The Organized Photographer, I'm sharing the exact workflow I use before, during, and after every session to stay organized, maintain fast turnaround times, and run a photography business that supports my life instead of taking it over.

Why This Guide Is Different

This isn't a collection of random photography tips.

It's the complete workflow I've refined over 15+ years of running my photography business.

Every chapter builds on the one before it, taking you from your first client inquiry all the way to gallery delivery and marketing.

These are the exact systems I still use today to save time, stay organized, and avoid burnout.

High School Senior Boy Photography
Westlake High School Saratoga Springs

High School Senior Boy Photography in Saratoga Springs, Utah

There are so many fun places to do high school senior pictures, and one of my favorites is at your high school! There are so many good spots to be used around a high school. If your High School Senior played sports, use the football field, tennis courts, running track, soccer field, etc. to photograph your child in their element. If they didn't do spots, you can still use the brick and fences around for some great backdrops. Some high schools also have some sort of sign that says the school name which is a fun backdrop as well!

I always suggest High School Senior Boys bring around 2-3 outfits to their photoshoot, including:

  • Casual outfit
  • Dressy outfit
  • Something to represent your high school experience, like a jersey, lettermans jacket, cheer uniform, band uniform, instrument, sports ball, pom poms, high school sweatshirt, college sweatshirt, or anything else!
  • Cap and gown (borrow from an older sibling or neighbor if you don't have one yet!)

Zachari brought two outfits plus his school sweatshirt, his culinary arts shirt and his cap and gown. This was some great variety for our Westlake High School senior photoshoot!

We started at his high school and then moved over to a nearby park by Utah Lake. I loved both of these locations so much!
